Broadland Aikido Club was established in 1982 by Alan Morton Sensei who moved to the USA in 1988, at this point Frank Burlingham Sensei took over the leadership, both Alan and Frank being former students of Htun Han Sensei.
Broadland Aikido Club is recognised and a member of the British Aikido Board, the governing body for Aikido in the UK. All our instructors hold coaching awards, first aid certification, and are insured through the British Aikido Board.
We are a non profit making club dedicated to the teaching of traditional Aikido and have our Dojo in Suffolk, we practice three times a week and training is open to men, women and children.
Our chief instructor is Frank Burlingham 6th Dan, Aikikai Zen Ten and 5th Dan Hombu (United Kingdom Aikikai) and an honorary 6th Dan member of the Institute of Aikido. He has been in Aikido for over 40 years and has trained in many countries throughout the world.

We also have strong links with the United Kingdom Aikikai, Yama Arashi, Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre Toronto Canada and the Shinju-Kai Singapore.
